When someone pulls out a camera and asks you to pose, your mind can come up blank. What could you possibly do for a pose? The classic peace sign? Well, maybe there is a better one. How about the simple, big, cheesy grin? Surely not, something more original may work better. So, what are you left with, especially being put on the spot like that? Your mind can race and you may not come up with a suitable pose in time. Now the camera has been put away and your photographer is left with your “deer in the head lights” look.

A related scenario can arise at your wedding. While you may have acquired a photo booth for your big day, to entertain your guests and give them a wonderful keepsake, you likely didn’t consider how often your guests would be pulling you to it for silly photos. As soon as your maid of honor, or best man, pulls you into the photo booth for a couple of quick photo booth poses, your mind may come up blank as to how to post.

Here at Mountain House on Sunday River, we know how much fun a photo booth can be for your big day entertainment. That’s why we have put together a few ways for you to be unique with your photo booth poses. If you are in search of inspiration, be sure to continue reading for some great ideas:

  • For couples. Your wedding will likely be filled with many couples, with many different personalities. If you or your guests are at a loss for fun poses to do as a couple, there are many wonderful poses that are perfect for you. You can playfully reel in your partner, as if with a fishing pole, plant a surprise kiss on them, playfully pull their tie, blow a kiss to them, or even wink at them and have them show how flattered they are.
  • Girls. Who doesn’t love a little girl power? You can show off classy poses, such as the Charlie’s Angels pose. Go back to back with your best girlfriend, or boy if you so choose, and throw up those hand guns. You can also go full supermodel, acting as though you are on the cover of Vogue or Cosmo, for every shot.
  • Guys. This is the perfect time for you gentlemen to show off your comic abilities. Don’t be afraid to take the photo booth to the gun show, throw up those muscles! You can also display your humor with a group high five with the groom, congratulating him on scoring a beautiful bride, or even fake playful fight, as you may do normally, but now there’s a picture for it.
  • Going solo. You are strong and independent, and you don’t need a photo booth buddy, or maybe everyone else is just busy. You can rock it all by yourself. There are many fun poses you can do or interesting tricks you can pull to create unique print out. Don’t be afraid to rock the fact that you are alone. Acting as if you are blowing away in the wind, each frame moving farther backwards, or walking down the stairs, staring from one corner and moving forwards and down with every frame, can surely provide a laugh. You are the star of your own prints, show just how amazing and creative you are.

You don’t have to attend the wedding with the same old poses, or a lack of poses. Get creative and be yourself! Here at Mountain House on Sunday River, we absolutely love hosting weddings! If you are in search of the perfect Newry, Maine wedding venue, be sure to contact us today.
